According to Fiorelli –

“27. Last bar of the insula on this street. It shows the podium with the adjoining hearth, the latrine at the rear surmounted by stairs for the upper rooms, and next to this a rear room.”

(27. Ultima taberna dell’isola su questa via. Essa mostra il podio con l’annesso focolare, nel fondo la latrina sormontata da scaletta per i cenacoli, ed accanto a questa una cella.)

Somewhere in this tavern Sogliano described a painting of gladiators: “Coppia di gladiatori combattenti l’un contro l’altro; sono armati di elmo cristato, di grand escudo rettangolare, di gambali e di gladio impugnato” See Sogliano, A., 1879. Le pitture murali campane scoverte negli anni 1867-79. Napoli. (p.138, no 667) Jacobelli says no trace of this fresco remains visible today. She described “Pair of gladiators in combat: they are armed with crested helmets, large, rectangular shields, leggings and swords.” See Jacobelli, L., 2003. Gladiators at Pompeii. Rome: L’Erma di Bretschneider. (p.73).

Somewhere in this tavern Sogliano described a painting of gladiators:
